Lost Firmware password

I have old macmin 2010 that I replaced the hard drive. I need to the firmware password I totally forget it. The device is still under my devices in apple website.
How i can retrieve it?

the only way around a lost firmware password is to visit your local Apple Store or an AASP and ask them to unlock the Mac. but be aware that they will require that you have the original proof of purchase that MUST be in your name.
