Each month I receive a statement for charges and the total that will be automatically paid. Sometimes the total on the statement is different from the amount taken from my bank account. When it happens it is usually a small amount. However, my February statement showed an amount $837.45 higher than what was taken out with auto pay. Why is there a difference?

Also keep in mind that any credits issued by merchants after the end of the month statement “count” as payments.
Restated: Any auto-payments will be reduced by the amount of any recent credits received.
You may have had pending charges that had not cleared by the 29th of February and were applied to March balance. You’ll need to review your transactions that cleared/finalized at the beginning of March.

This was the answer I finally got from Goldman Sachs: "I am so sorry after further review I do show a difference of $837.45, I am not sure why the full amount was not taken out, however I will have this escalated for a manager to review to ensure this will not affect your account, as you due have auto pay set to cover the monthly balance."
I have monthly balance selected.
I understand the credits issuance impacting the following month's statement and assumed that had something to do with the discrepancy but the $800+ difference has me thinking otherwise.
