After updating to iOS 17.4.1 ota, my iPhone 15 which I have bought recently started to overheat unnecessarily (even when I am not using it significantly). Also battery life dropped from about 10 hrs to 6.5 hrs.
Is this happening with anyone else?
Should I update my iPhone via iTunes to re released ios 17.4.1?
Are there any consequences of that? Please help.

IOS 17.4.1 stinks! Had the best battery life on Iphone15promax before update now it stinks!

iPhone 15 pro max here. Updated when it came out and was fine until about a week later. Unnecessary overheating, with battery dropping by half. Also some weird issues connecting to my CarPlay as well since too. I have to restart my phone to stop it when it starts overheating

same here, over heating with 17.4.1 when YouTube is running. I deleted YouTube, hard reset the phone then reinstalling it back. it seemed to have solved the issue. If other apps are causing overheating, maybe do the same. Good luck.

Same thing here. Never had overheating issues and now my phone is getting hot to the touch and battery is draining.

Have the same issue - iPhone 15 Pro Max. No problems before. After updating to 17.4.1 (ota) battery time dropped drastically. Phone overheats after a couple of minutes watching YT videos.

dint have this issue until three days ago, i have iphone 14+ and i notice whenever i open youtube app, my battery drains faster
Where is apple s response, i thought i was going crazy when i saw how fast i got from 100 to 58 today, always releasing this stupid updates without even testing them lost 1% at battery health as well from 94 to 93 over 2 days
I have iphone 12 pro and same here. Had to turn my phone off as soon as I noticed the issue. How do I revert?
I have a fairly new iPhone 14, just updated iOS to 17.4.1. Prior to the update, the battery could easily last a day or more with moderate use. Since the 17.4.1 update, best I can get is 1/2 day with the same usage. Phone is plugged in every night to charge. Something is wrong with 17.4.1!
On my iPhone 14, I've been able to isolate the issue and the culprit is YouTube. It drains my battery in 2 hours and my phone gets burning hot. On Reddit, I saw Android users are also affected. Some say reinstalling YouTube fixes the issue, not in my case.
My other video apps work fine.
Updated my iPhone 13 Pro Max to iOS 17.4.1 and immediately lost a significant amount of battery life. I wish I could go back.
Same here. iPhone 15 pro max with iOS 17.4.1 and the phone is heating with minimal usage! Come on Apple!
