Slow Imac. Etrecheck report states Performance: Below Average. How to solve?

My Mac is really slow and the performance seems to be below average, but why?

Any specialist wants to read the report and shed some light on a possible solution? Thanks in advance!

Couple of things... no need to run MalwareBytes all the time, just once in awhile.

8GB of RAM is not enough, but far to difficult to add after purchase, about the only thing you can do to speed it up besides cutting down what is running, is to get a fast External Thunderbolt drive to boot from...

Yes, 8Gb is really poor in 2024, but most of the new M3 still come with 8gb ...

Thinking of buying a mid tier 256gb M3 with upgraded 16 gb of ram, i have the iCloud 2TB and just buy some fast external SSD's to run my FCPX libraries and other stuff. And hand over this old machine to my daughter to use for simple internet browsing.
