Mac Mail Freezing

Since "upgrading" to Sonoma - and now at 14.4.1) i have noticed a recurrent Freezing of Mac Mail.

When selecting a message to reply to i have to wait for an unpredictable time before i can write anything..

Also when trying to save an attachment the same scenario can occur... 5 minutes now and i cannot save an attachment nor browse the folder..

Additionally Mail has frozen the outgoing message i have authored, will noot release it after a restart and will NOT allow an attachment to be added, the dialog freezes.

Can this be a FINDER issue in Sonoma?
