Apple Watch can’t show camera preview on screen

My remote camera has been stuck as well on my Apple Watch Ultra 2, here's what I tried successfully:

Force restarting both devices, then I changed the settings of automatically locking the screen on my iPhone in Settings/Display & Brightness/Auto-Lock/ from 30sec to 1min. After that the camera app on my Apple Watch worked again, even after switching back the time to 30sec display Auto-Lock on the iPhone.

Try deleting the camera app on the Apple Watch, and reinstall it. Seemed to work for me.

After a long discussion with the hotline they admit that the issue is known and will be fixed. What remains unkown is when this is fixed.

Their workaround to reset the iwatch did not work - Modell MREP3FD/A - iWatch 10.4

What I can not understand is that a simple feature remote control of camera app with liveview function does not work for any other apple mobile device combination, so not for two iphones and not for ipad plus iphone. The simple thing I need is control view, sensor and camera functions by remote.

But actually apple does not has this on it's radar

I had this same problem, what fixed it was going to Photos in the Watch app (on the iPhone) and making sure Mirror My iPhone was checked under Notification Settings.

I have iphone 15promax and apple watch 7 and I just turned off both and turn back on and it works!
