AirTag help

So I just got my new AirTags and realize I should have asked this question before buying them. Are they like Tiles, in that they will make a noise until you find them?

Yes, you can ping an AirTag and make it play a sound: Locate an AirTag or other item in Find My on iPhone - Apple Support.

Anyway when I’m on the bus and in school will people around me get notifications saying that my AirTag is following them even though it’s in my bag and I have my phone with me? No more AirTags' left behind notifications when far from them? I don't know if iOS v18.4 broke it or not, but I haven't been getting any notifications when I'm far away from own my AirTags in my iPhone 12 mini. I checked my settings, rebooted my iPhone, etc. Find My shows their locations, status, CR2032 batteries, etc. fine. I don't whitelist their locations like home too since I do want to know if I forgot to bring them with me when going out and testing to be sure they still work. Is anyone else noticing this too? Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

Will AirTags start to beep when I'm separated from them? Hi there, My cats (who stay indoors) have AirTags just incase they slip out. The tags are set to not notify me if they are left behind at my home location. I’ll be going on vacation soon for a week and will have a house sitter. Does anybody know if the tags will start to beep because I’ll be separated from them? Or because they will (hopefully be staying at home) that feature won’t get activated? I don’t want to annoy the house sitter with beeps but I don’t want to turn off the tag unless I can’t avoid it. Many thanks. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
