Password Backup

I recently bought a new iPhone and have transferred everything over through iCloud and my stored passwords don’t seem to be on my phone and I have since erased my old phone since so now I can hardly remember any passwords as I had presumed they would automatically be transferred over. Is there anyway to retrieve them?

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 17

That depends on whether you use Keychain in iCloud.

Open the Settings App

Tap Your name at the top

Tap iCloud

Tap Passwords and Keychain

If the switch is off, tap it to Sync This Phone

If you did not sync with iCloud for passwords, they would not transfer over, which is why it's always a good idea to write ALL your passwords down and keep them in a safe place for future recall.
