I have a question about string instruments among the LogicPro virtual instruments.

hello? This is Jeonmaeng, who uses LogicPro for voiceover. When you go to Strings among the virtual instruments, the difficulty when recording various stringed instruments such as violins and cellos is that the stringed instruments basically sound as if they are multiple instruments. Example: If you select violin or cello, the sound of multiple instruments will sound at the same time as if there are multiple orchestra instruments, rather than the sound of only one solo instrument.

What settings should I change to make solo instruments sound like I'm playing only one instrument, such as a violin or cello? Also, if I want to add a partial pizzicato when recording a violin, what settings should I change on the violin track?

Indeed, the library lacks solo strings. There are a few solo strings in the Sampler under App Presets (Factory) > Pop Strings - violin and cello as arco and pizz . However, these are the worst sounding string sounds I know. The violin sounds like a cheap saxophone sample.

You need to look at third Party plugins. There are free Libraries that are worth checking like Alpine Project Strings or you can search the Pianobook Website. Good low cost solo samples are frequently offered by 8dio when on sale.

Good luck.

Edit:

In the upper left corner, next to the on/off button of the plugin window, there is a pop-up menu, where you can access the usual preset functions of the plugin like next and previous preset, save, save as and so on, and more important, you can select the instruments and instrumentation, like Single Instruments > Cellos.

Please leave a comment when that helps or when you have further questions.

One thing to open the string instrument panel. Click on the upper middle box and you can change fron single instrument to small section. See attached photo. And yes, you can certainly assign articulation to your instruments. You can even do it note by note in the piano roll. I recommend a couple of YT videos that are great at explaining how to do it.

Thank you for answer. But I am visually impaired. In other words, I am a blind person who uses Apple products with voiceover. So, if you attach photos or YouTube videos in this way, you will not be able to learn. Like the image above ~click… If you say it like this, it will be very inconvenient for the visually impaired. So, please explain the exact path one by one.
