After the latest system update to Sonoma 14.4.1, I get this error message in Mail Version 16.0 (3774.500.171.1.1) every time I edit one of my Rules. The rules usually don't execute unless I select a message and use the left click menu and select "Apply Rules".
How can this be fixed?

Have not heard this before.
You can try quitting Mail.app, relaunch it holding the Shift key down and compare your results
if no resolve—
Try turning off Mail in iCloud— edit /add rules and see if they saved properly to compare your results.
Re-enable iCloud Mail to test.

Still no resolve— sign out of AppleID/iCloud and back in again.
Thanks for the response, and the suggestions.
1) Relaunched while holding shift didn't change anything.
2) I don't use iCloud Mail.
3) Restarting the computer, then relaunching Mail with the shift key down also didn't work.
I can live with the inconvenience if I have to.
