Dualsense controller not usable on any games on Mac

I recently purchased a MacBook m3pro and to my surprise, no games that I have tested worked with the dualsense natively despite claiming to support it, the controller connects via bluetooth and can control steam big picture mode however fails to be detected by the game its self. any solutions out there other than running a vm of windows?

ps5 controller/ dualsense not working in many games on Mac So macos Big Sur 11.3 brought support for the PS5 Dualsense controller. However, less than half the games that support controllers work with the dualsense. This includes steam, epic game's store, and of course Apple Arcade games. Even many recently updated ones. I notice that many of these games do detect a controller is connected but they receive no inputs from the dualsense. I am using an M1 MBA base. Is there a setting/app that can make the dualsense act like a regular old MFI controller?

WIRED xbox360 controller, MacMini M1 2020, Monterey--out of luck? I cannot seem to get this WIRED controller to work. I have a Mac mini (M1, 2020), MacOS Monterey 12.4. It looks like I'm out of luck here. Has anyone been able to make this combination work? How are people playing e.g. Steam games on this platform with a controller?
