(error code -8058) when attempting to move studio one files from icloud drive to macbook pro harddrive.
The Studio One software for the Artist version5.0 won't open or find files in icloud drive.
Presonus tech told me to move them to macbook pro HD. But Apple says I can move them but won't be able to see them. What use is that, the purpose to move files off icloud is to be able to access and use them with the Presonus software app.

Check to see if you enabled Desktop & Documents in iCloud Drive. AppleID System Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive. If it is, then the files are both on your drive and in iCloud. It appears you are trying to copy a folder onto itself. Try moving the StudioOne folder to the root level of your home folder.

To download the files from iCloud
Changes you make to a downloaded file appear only on your computer unless you subsequently upload the file to iCloud Drive.

Then, move the download files to your Home Folder ( User Account Folder )
I am attempting to move my whole studio one software app folder with music data files, which that app uses to operate app. The app is a music recording and audio editing suite by Presonus. The manufacturer says their software is not compatible with Sonoma Os and I should go back to earlier Os

Is the app open and has a lock of some sort on those files?
Again, are you trying to move them into your home folder?That destination should not be synch’d with any cloud service.

Home Folder is your User Account Folder
It is the Only folder under Your Direct Control
All other areas are not accessible because Apple has mede all others area Off Limits
This is done to protect the Operating System from Users and Third Party Applications mucking around with the Operating System
Where on the hard drive? You really only have access to your home folder.
Is it just that file type?
