2nd Gen Apple Pencil - Skips/Glitch when writing
My Apple Pencil (gen 2) has been fantastic and reliable for over a year. Recently, however, it has begun to glitch when taking notes on my iPad.
At first I thought it was an iPad issue, but have ruled that out as the issue is not consistently in the same location on the iPad.
Rather the issue appears to be related to how I hold the pencil (where the flat side of the pencil sits relative to my hand) and at what angle I am writing on the screen. I have also noticed that unscrewing and re-screwing in the pencil tip seems to sometimes restore 'normal' function for a period of time...
Is there a fix for this issue? Is this a pencil defect or indicator that something has 'worn out'? I would have expected it to last for many more years...
I have searched this forum for answers but at best have seen a lot of direction to very generic issues related to making sure connection is functional (yes), iPad isn't broken (it isn't), making sure things are charged (they are), checking the case (have), etc.
The answer I need is:
- Is this a broken/defective/worn-out pencil that needs to be replaced/repaired?
- Have others encountered this issues and are there any known fixes/resolutions for the pencil that I could try?
