Macos defender?? Is this a scam?

I’m getting a message on my MacBook Air that a Trojan horse has infected it. It is from “macOS defender security center. Is this a scam?

Most likely it's a scam. Typically those "warnings" stem from a website you visited that you agreed to allow notifications.
