Problem after updating Apple TV

I tried to update my Apple TV and ended up with a blank (light blue) screen. I tried unpowering and rebooting but did not change it. The unit was working before but said I needed to update to install the YouTube TV app.

  • Check if the status light is glowing continuously, as a sign of working order. A continuously flashing status light (more than ~15 seconds) instead, is a sign that the Apple TV box failed to start up properly.
  • Check that the TV is still set to take input from the HDMI port to which the Apple TV box is connected.
