How do you stop XfinityWifi Popup (High Sierra)

Question date: 4-4-2024 / (for a 2011 macbook pro).

I'm answering my own question -

Apple/System Preferences/Network/Advanced (the button on the bottom right)/ then:

In the pop up window be sure the first tab - Wi-Fi, is selected.

Scroll through the list of prefered networks

Click on the offending item (xfinity wifi in this case)

Click the (-) negative button to remove it.

Click OK
