This is a VPN configuration issue that is administered by your workplace IT Administrator. If you are connected to your Office network via VPN all network/Internet traffic is routed through your workplace router/network. The admin staff have total control regarding routing traffic going through their network.

Maybe the employer has configured the VPN so. My employer did so with Cisco AnyConnect, so when it was active only selected few IP# at work could be reached.

Communicate with the Company IT Department of this company.

They require a VPN, then they should support that which they require, no ?

As said, if this is an employer managed VPN it is configured by your employer. Maybe they have placed routing restrictions based on mac address or log in credentials. We do not have access to your employer's network configuration.

Then, suggest speaking to the Genius at the IT Department of the Company.

They may want/ need to know that their Supposedly Secure Network connection and All Data on their Network may be compromised

Performing Non Company Business over a Company Network defeats the very purpose of the Secure Connection to HQ.

Why is a Commercial VPN needed at all

Any Access Point will be the Target of any attacks and not the computer itself

Using a Commercial VPN for anything other than Working Off Site and connecting to the Office Network or Banking is not exactly as it may appear
