Two days ago some water got spilled on my mac and it stopped working so I took it to a repair shop today and he told me that it can never be repaired. Is it true or there other ways it can be repaired? Please help me.

Water damage often requires circuit board level logic board repair, which is a very rare specialist skill not available at most computer repair shops.
Feel free to seek out a logic board repair specialist shop for a second opinion/quote, but older/entry-level models are usually not worth the repair expense.
