My Notes are gone!! How do I get them back?

I understand that you are unable to locate your Notes app. Either it was deleted OR it was accidentally removed from the Home Screen.

Check the App Library first. The Notes app may have been accidentally removed from the Home Screen, however, still exists in the App Library. The App Library is the last Home Screen on your iPhone when you continue to SWIPE LEFT until you reach it. Once you are in the App Library, then you can search and find the Notes app. Once found, then you can DRAG the app out of there and place it on your favorite spot of the Home Screen.

Check the App Store next: Open the App Store app and locate the Notes app. If there is a OPEN menu choice next the Notes app then it still exists on your iPhone and you should try the first option (above) again. If there is a GET menu choice next to the Notes app, then it does not exist on your iPhone and you should download the Notes app.

Did you recently remove an email account from your iPhone? If YES, then those notes may have been associated with that email account. If you did not remove any email accounts, then check on iCloud for the missing notes. Below is how to do that:

You can use iCloud.com on a computer to recover recently deleted files or restore an earlier version of information that was automatically archived in iCloud.

Review the following:

• Calendar: Restore your calendars and events on iCloud.com
• Contacts: Restore contacts stored in iCloud on iCloud.com
• iCloud Drive, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote: Recover deleted files on iCloud.com
• iCloud Photos: Delete and recover photos and videos on iCloud.com
• Mail: Delete email in Mail on iCloud.com
• 👉Notes: Delete and recover notes on iCloud.com👈
• Reminders: Restore your reminders on iCloud.com
• Safari bookmarks and Reading List: Restore your Safari bookmarks and Reading List on iCloud.com

Hello,

Here are some steps that may help.

1. Go to the app store and search "notes" then you should be able to redownload Apple Notes.
2. Check if you have any restrictions applied that may prevent notes from appearing

If none of these steps works, check some other replies.
