Intermittent display failure (photo attached)

I am using MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018) with OS version 10.14.1.

When I use my Mac, a display failure is observed but it is not continuous.

This is a phenomenon where a specific area of the display panel turns black and then immediately returns to normal.

Here is a photo I captured. You can see a specific pattern here and I suppose the problem is related to hardware behind the surface. This pattern appears suddenly and disappears in 0.1 second. This problem arise un-periodically, but on average, once a 5 minutes or so.

Anyone can explain this? and How could I fix this?

Horizontal artifacts would point to GPU issue, this is hardware

Your 2015 has 2 GPU, typically it is the "Discreet" GPU which fails first.

You may be able to force the "Integrated" GPU only but there are caveats...

the alternative is logic board replacement— which would not be worth it on a 2015.

An external monitor relies on the Discreet GPU, so not an option if that is indeed your issue
