So with android you can find out celltpwer location by using an app like Cellmapper, but with an Iphone this is impossible. Is it possible to see the celltower locations with an Iphone or do i just hope that they implement that feature some day?

Why do you need it? The iPhone will automatically connect to the tower with the strongest signal, and it might not be the closest.
But if you still want it anyway, I found 5 apps in the app store that map cell tower locations.
Sadly none of them work properly because the Iphone lacks the ability to pinpoint celltowers. I have tested most of them
The real reason is, i am a nerd and i want to know the full information. Also i live in a small place and i want to know the future cell tower projects. And lastly it’s just interesting and fun to look at!
Your phone does not map the locations, that is impossible. The map apps developer puts the towers on the map, and that information comes from the carrier. There is no mapping persay.
If the app you are using isn't displaying the location, it's because it's a poorly written app, not because your phone can't find it
