Apple Watch 9 Wrong passcode

When I woke up this morning, my watch said ‘wrong passcode, try again in 17 minutes’. In 17 minutes, I saw it flash through a series of passcode attempts on its own. Now it says try again in 8 hours. Any suggestions?

Apple Watch Ultra says “wrong passcode” even though I didn’t enter one I woke up this morning, put on my watch which had been sitting next to my bed, and found it said “Wrong passcode try again in four hours”. I hadn’t even entered a passcode as I’d been asleep and it was working fine last night, so I have no idea why this was displaying. Apple Watch Too many passcode attempts Received the too many passcode attempts reset and pair again message. Tried to reset and pair but watch needed to be updated. Started the update but it didn’t work. Any ideas on what to do next?
