How to reverse the offloading of pictures in iMessage chats

Hello Apple Community,

I'm reaching out here because I've encountered an issue with my iMessage chats that I could use some help with. Lately, I've noticed that the pictures in my chats have been offloaded, and unfortunately, they don't automatically re-download when I tap on the individual chat to view attachments.

In the past, I had limited iCloud storage, but I recently upgraded to a higher plan to ensure I have enough space. However, even after this upgrade, the offloaded pictures in my iMessage chats remain inaccessible until I tap on each individual chat.

I'm curious if anyone else has encountered this issue and if there's a solution available. Specifically, I'm wondering if there's a way to redownload all of the offloaded pictures so that they automatically appear when I access the chat attachments from the contact page. It would be incredibly helpful to have easy access to these images within my chats.

Additionally, I'm interested in learning if there's a setting or solution to prevent my images from offloading in general. While I understand the importance of managing storage efficiently, having immediate access to images within my iMessage chats is crucial for me.

If anyone has any insights, tips, or solutions to share, I would greatly appreciate it. Your expertise and assistance would be invaluable in resolving this matter.

Thank you all in advance for your help!

Best regards,
