NFC Reading Problem iPhone 13 pro

Hello as described in the header I‘m unable to read any nfc cards with my iPhone 13 pro (ios 17.4.1). Paying with apple pay is working just fine but scanning other nfc devices such as my id is not possible. I‘ve already tried my cards with other iPhones and there scanning works just fine. Already contacted support removed vpn connections reset my network settings and of course also tried it without my cover on. Is there anyone who has or had the same issue? I can‘t seem to find a solution and I don‘t really think that my nfc chip in my phone is not working as paying with apple pay works without any problems what so ever.

Any suggestions that could help?

Thanks in advance and have a nice day!:)

Apple's iOS does have NFC capabilities, but they are primarily used for Apple Pay and other Apple-specific features. The ability to read generic NFC tags without a third-party app is unknown to me on iPhones. However, the capability you mentioned, "NFC Tag Reader" in Control Center, isn't available in iOS.

Sometimes, developers can access more advanced NFC features through Xcode and developer APIs, but this requires some technical knowledge and isn't meant for everyday users.

Hello thank your for your answer. But I think we are talking about different things or have different information about the topic. Let me clarify:

Here in germany we have an app with which you can id yourself in the internet and when doing beurocratic stuff online.

And I looked it up and the site says that the id gets validated through the iPhones nfc reader. Before i had my 13pro it worked for me on my xr and it does work for other people on their iPhones too. So I‘m sure that the iPhone does have those capabilities.
