How to open Ultrabeat within Drum Machine Drsigner
I've recently upgraded to a 13" 2020 M1 MacBook Pro from a mid 2011 Mac (for ease with travelling) and after re-downloading Logic Pro X, it's obviously the most recent version which has a bunch of noticeable changes from the version I've been using for a while. The issue I'm having is that I always used Ultrabeat to program the drum tracks and would access it through Drum Machine Designer which would allow me to expand the channel strip and tweak the individual parts of my custom kit when mixing. However, now when I load my custom kit via DMD and expand the channel strip, the individual kit pieces no longer display Ultrabeat in the Input, instead it has been replaced with Quick Sampler. I'm sure this is better but as someone who isn't super knowledgeable on Logic, I prefer sticking with what I know and am comfortable with. So far I've only been able to load Ultrabeat into it's own channel strip (with my custom kit samples dragged and dropped into it) but it doesn't seem to allow me to expand the channel strip so I can tweak the individual drum kit pieces when mixing like before. I found something similar online about creating a Pattern Region but I don't find it as quick and simple to use a Ultrabeat. I'm sure there's a simple solution for this so forgive my ignorance but any help in how I can use Ultrabeat in the same way as I used to would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
