Samsung portable ssd 4TB T9 (USB3.2 2x2 20Gb/s) compatibility with Mac Mini Pro 2023

I get only 10Gb/s when I connect the USB kable provided by Samsung. Is the Thunderbolt/USB4-buss compatible with the Samsung provided cable (supports USB 3.2Gen 2x2 (20 Gb/s))

The MacMini only supports single lane USB 3.x and not dual lane (what the 2x2 means isn the Samsung spec) and therefore will only get 10 Gb/s connection. The Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 specs only require that single lane USB 3.x be supported. Supporting dual lane is optional.

If you need or want faster speeds, you will need to get a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 drive or a USB4 drive both of which support up to 40 Gb/s.
