When my MacBook Pro starts up I can see the volume icon flash in the touchbar.
However, when I click on finder (desktop), the icon is not there. And I have to change the volume in the menu bar.
The same happens when I launch Quicktime and play and audio or a video file.
What am I missing?
Any help would be most welcome.

Problem solved. Now my touchbar shows the expanded control strip and I can control volume in it.
