Samsung 57" G95NC Odyssey Neo G9 gets no audio from MacBook Pro M3 Pro connected with a HDMI cable

I have connected a Samsung 57" G95NC Odyssey Neo G9 from MacBook Pro M3 Pro with the HDMI cable come with the monitor. Everything works fine. I have 7680x2160@120Hz with HDR enabled.

However, I cannot get the audio work. Odyssey G95NC is available in the Sound pane of System Settings but there is no sound coming out of it when it is selected as shown in the following screenshot.

Is it a driver thing? Is there a solution?

Stupid me.

Despite the monitor is selectable in the Sound Output and there are audio volume control on the monitor itself, there is no speaker on the monitor!

Do you have any issue's with the monitor when waking your mac? I previously heard that people had issues when their mac went to sleep as the monitor would default to a lower resolution and/or they completely had to restart their mac to get it to work again.

Sorry for the late reply.

I don't have problem with resolutions altered when waken up. Some of the icons on the desktop shuffle though. Maybe it is related to the connector. It is not a problem with HDMI.
