I need a headset that's compatible with my iMac, ideally bluetooth that will work with GloCOM software. I am a volunteer for the National Bat Conservation Trust, so unpaid and don't want to spend a fortune. It's an iMac 24" (2021) and I am running Sonoma 14.3.1
Any help greatly appreciated. Don't know why it says iMac 27" macOS 10.15!! below?!

Here's some food for thought:
If you think you might use the wireless ear buds with both your Mac and iPhone I would suggest the Apple AirPods. The bluetooth earbuds will let you answer the phone if you're in the other room or talk while moving about the room or other room. I have a pair of AirPod Pros and they let me answer or reject a call by answering Yes or No when Siri announces the call, by name if the number is in my Address Book or by number if not. It/she also reads my text messages to me. I can kill the reading by squeezing the earbud stalk once if I'm on the phone or otherwise occupied.
If the earbuds will be just for the Trust then you have two options: a B/T earbud or wired headphones. The B/T earbuds will let you move around the room while on the phone. Wired headphones won't need charging but won't let you roam around.

The only reason I moved up to the AirPods was I got a pair for my wife and she didn't like anything in her ear. The Anker P3 were excellent for phone calls. They can be charged by cable or wirelessly/induction. They are currently on sale at Amazon for $49. I've used the P3s with my iMac to listen to YouTube videos and music but not phone calls.

Go wired: cheaper, technically better and way more reliable than cavity-plagued Bluetooth. Plus it never needs charging.
AirPods Pro, AirPods, AirPods Max, pretty much any variety of Beats, any number of bluetooth headsets...
What software you're using shouldn't matter so long as it works with macOS unless the developer has done something 'odd'.
There is no "best" in most anything including headsets that will work on your iMac. The reason there are many alternatives is so each person can select one that best suits their needs.

Thanks for that. I've got some Beats Studio Pro just a bit concerned that the quality of the mics aren't going to be good enough.
