yesterday I was hacked through facebook messenger. Some how I got a message to change my Apple password. The site I was directed to was appleid.com. That doesn't look to me like a legitimate Apple address
Many of us have been hacked in our Facebook accounts over the years. That does not really require you to change your Apple ID Password (your phone wasn't compromised, just your Facebook account was). It does require you to change your Facebook account ID Password. NO, the correct URL is https://appleid.apple.com.
UPDATE: appleid.com remaps to the above, so it is actually OK.
