My Macbook Air ceased allowing texts to or from android users. No problem with ipad that does not use cellular service or my iphone.
Group texts containing one android user renders entire text unsent or received.

A Mac is not a cellular telephone. It has no ability to send or receive SMS or MMS messages.
If you happen to also own an iPhone, you may forward SMS and MMS messages to/from that iPhone.
