Letters jump out of order while typing in a table in Notes on Sonoma 14.4

I am attempting to use Notes on 14.4 to create a table. When I type at my normal speed in a cell, the cursor randomly jumps backwards a character causing new letters to be entered in the wrong place, and the text is jumbled. I see that other users have reported this in the past, and it clearly has never been fixed.

I can avoid the problem in this particular table only by typing slowly. (I am a competent but typical typist--not a speed demon. )

Any tips?

I can and will provide a video to prove that this is happening.

I would try a different application and compare your results.
