Is it safe to bring your phone in the bathroom while showering?

So I bring my phone to the bathroom with me and sometimes I put music or a tiktok as background noise. When I shower, it sometimes gets steamy (for reference my mirror gets fogged up) and I've been reading that apprently your phone get damaged in steamy rooms like a sauna. Is it true or is it fake

To prevent liquid damage, avoid:

  • Swimming or bathing with your iPhone
  • Exposing your iPhone to pressurized water or high velocity water, such as when showering, water skiing, wake boarding, surfing, jet skiing, and so on
  • Using your iPhone in a sauna or steam room
  • Intentionally submerging your iPhone in water
  • Operating your iPhone outside the suggested temperature ranges or in extremely humid conditions
  • Dropping your iPhone or subjecting it to other impacts
  • Disassembling your iPhone, including removing screws

So this part means nothing to you?

Buy a cheap Bluetooth speaker and bring that into the bathroom. You can still have background noise and not risk damaging your phone.

What do you mean you don't see any damage?

You been given good advice as well as direct quotes from Apple.

But by all means, if you think it's safe, then go ahead and use it. When your phone stops charging (or worse) in a few months, you can then buy a new phone and destroy that one as well.

Just out of curiosity, why bother asking for advice if your just going to argue about it?
