Icons are not visible behind the notch on MacBooks with notches

Icons are not visible behind the notch on MacBooks and this is certainly a bug, I know that I can use Bartender, but paying $40 for fixing a MacOs bug is just ridiculous.


MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.2

The screen resolution shareware app, SwitchResX, has settings that make the notch go away.


It does this by offsetting the screen top, lowering it, thus reducing total pixels. But that's not noticeable to me.

Several times I've sent a q. by e-mail to Stephan Madrau, and he gets back in less than a day!


That app has so many more features that I don't use, it's for customizing multiple-monitor displays, among other things.

I don't see it as a bug... there is only so much space available in the menu bar.


You can have less icons on the Menu bar so you are not crowding out the ones you want to see...
