You can set it up from within the T-Mobile ID “Auto Pay” section of your account management screens.
NOTE: While you can still use ApplePay for T-Mo’s AutoPayments … it no longer qualifies for T-Mo’s $5/Mo/Line “Auto-Pay Discount.”
(That was the result of a T-Mo policy change several months ago 🙁 )

Jeff:
An update …
The Apple Cash Virtual Visa Debit set-up as a recurring payment method worked exactly as expected on 5/9.
This would seem a very secure method for paying those vendors who either “incentivize” the use of debit cards …
… or actively “dis-incentivize” the use of more secure payment methods.
If t-Mobile accepts Apple Pay, select it when paying your bill online at the billing website
It’s my understanding that it can be used for recurring payments. I haven’t personally tried it, but I may just try it to find out. I read it was possible at one of the sites covering Apple. The only way for the merchant to block it would be to prevent the BIN (Bank Identification Number) from being used.
Thanks … I’ll give it a try.
The worst that might happen is that it NOT work.
Given T-Mo’s long and “distinguished” track-record of data-breeches and user-info disclosures …
… for those individuals reluctant to share their “fixed / unchanging” bank account or debit card numbers …
… “AppleCash by Visa” might seem a fairly secure payment mechanism.
Jeff:
FYI, just successfully added the Apple Cash Visa Debit as a recurring monthly payment (to a nation-wide vendor).
The 1st auto-payment is abt 3-weeks from now.
Will monitor and report any “surprises.”
You save the most money if you choose Auto Pay and use a debit card instead of the 3% Cash Back with Apple Card and Apple Pay.
Jeff:
While it’s still “new” …
… but as ‘da Man on these matters …
… do you possibly know if AppleCash’s new “Visa Prepaid Debit” functionality can also be used for recurring payments ???
Sounds like a plan!
