Audio Interface not recognized

I have an iPad Pro 2nd-gen. I'm trying to record an audio output from a Yamaha TF-1. I bought a Pyle PDUSBPP10RD audio interface to convert an XLR output to USB. When I connected it to the iPad, the iPad asked if it was a headphone or other device. I clicked "other device" and now I feel like I've made a fatal error. Now the iPad won't recognize the interface at all. I reset the iPad and didn't get the headphone prompt again. I'm hoping if I find a way to reset the connected devices then the interface will work. Any help would be appreciated.

While recognising that you may have already tried some of this...

Starting at the beginning, disconnect the interface converter from your iPad - and then try a forced-restart. The restart will often clear an isolated software issue:

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

If the problem persists after performing the restart, it may be necessary to reset your iPad settings. While this reset will not cause any loss of data, as a precaution, it is always wise to ensure that you have a current iCloud or iTunes backup before performing the reset:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

When you are happy to proceed, you can perform the reset from iPad settings:

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset All Settings

If the problem still doesn’t clear, the next step is to reset the iPad to factory settings - which will fully reset the iPad. As diagnostic exercise, do not restore data and settings from a backup when prompted - as the objective is to test the iPad and interface from a known baseline:

If the problem is resolved with a factory restore, you can then restore your data from an iCloud/iTunes backup.

Otherwise, you might be well advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page. Alternatively and perhaps easier, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

Thanks for the suggestions. Resetting the iPad didn't work.

What I figured out was that I needed to do 2 things:

1) The iPad only recognized the audio interface if I connected it to a USB hub. A direct connection to the USB-C port on the iPad won't work.

2) I needed to use another app. The native Camera app doesn't recognize accessory microphones. I settled on the Pro Movie app. It recognizes accessory microphones and the audio interface.
