Import contacts from physical SIM to iPhone with eSIM

Hi all,

so I was setting up my iPhone 14 with my personal number as an eSIM and wanted to use my work number as a physical SIM.

I've set up everything so far, but the only thing that didn't work was transferring the contacts from my work phone/physical SIM to my iPhone 14 with my private eSIM in it.

It still only contained my private contacts.

Going into the contacts setting and using the "Import contacts from SIM" also didn't work but all my work contacts are saved to iCloud.

Is it related to which Apple ID I'm using on the main phone with both SIMs in it or is there any way to make this work?
