My Apple Mail accounts no longer stay online
My Apple Mail accounts no longer stay online for all mail accounts except iCloud after MAC OS 14.4.1 update. Anyone know of this?

gmail.com and a corporate account going through Google; a Microsoft Exchange account. I have not been able to bring them back online since my update this morning. I've tried shutting Mail down and opening it back up several times. For now I'm checking the web version of these accounts in mail.google.com, which is working.
For problem accounts the go to way to sort things out is to delete the account(s) from the Mail.app, then add it back.

Note—
IMAP accounts stay on the server, so no local loss, when you re-sync
POP accounts download and remove from the server—therefor save your inbox/sent box if you want them
“On My Mac" is just that, local folders you created and moved mail into. So no loss

How do I tell if it's pop or imap? Details don't tell me. Also, why would it just start after the update? If I load Outlook the accounts work.
The most common today is IMAP for syncing across devices...
Use the Connection Doctor if in doubt about what you set up
Mail>Window>Connection Doctor
ref: Use Connection Doctor in Mail on Mac
