When the primary card holder uses the card, the daily cash is deposited into the savings account. when my wife uses it (secondary card user), the money shows up but does not show as Apple Cash nor does it go into the savings account??

Check with Goldman Sachs where here Daily Cash is. She may not have verified her Apple Cash account and funds are being held. Your wife would need a separate Apple Savings account. Goldman Sachs does not currently permit Joint HYSA, only individual accounts.

Each Apple Card Participant (Authorized User) or Co-Owner receives their own Daily Cash. I suspect this is because of the way cash back and other rewards are treated by the IRS for tax purposes. If you received the Daily Cash, it would be taxable (I think). Not sure, but that’s the way all my credit cards work, including Discover, Capital 1, American Express and Wells Fargo, Citi and others.

Thank you for the quick response. The money does not show up on her account in Apple Cash. I have a savings account set up for me, and my daily cash goes in there. Would we have to set up a separate account for her?
