Will my apps still work if I change app store country?

I'm moving back to the US after living in Denmark for several years. I want to change my app store region back to the US, but there are some important ones I downloaded in Denmark, like Danish banking and ID apps, that I really don't want to lose or become useless. Is there a way for me to be certain any given app will continue to function? I read the support page Change your Apple ID Country or Region but it didn't really answer this. Thanks

They probably won't update. Maybe they will if both countries have the same app, but I haven't been in that situation so I don't know. Apple is a bit vague about it.

Basically if an app is on the device it will continue to work unless there is something such as a country-specific login that means it can't. It's when you try to update the app, or re-download it that you may find you cannot.

They will but they might not update or redownload should you get a new device or reset the one you have.

Okay, I see. So as long as I still have my same phone I'll be able to update and use the Danish apps once I switch over regions?
