embed a numbers sheet

It isn't looking good for embedding. From what I am reading and have now done, embedding of a URL is pretty simple (it is embedded in an iframe, just like the "embed" code you get from youtube) except if the source responds with X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN. This means the source will not allow itself to be embedded. Unfortunately, that is the response I see when trying to embed anything from iCloud. It results in an empty frame.

I hope someone chimes in with a workaround or alternative...

I am unable to test on the Mac OS version of Numbers because I am unable to download the latest (and it won't let you "collaborate" without the latest vesion) but...

If you use the iCloud version and "collaborate" with others, any changes you make to it will show up for anyone who has a link and permission to see the spreadsheet. It can be read-only. Changes pop in as they are made. I don't know about embedding the link in a website, though, that is not something I know about. Maybe in a frame? I'm not a web designer.

The desktop version also allows collaboration so I assume you can do the same. I think it does collaboration through iCloud so it is basically the same thing.

Your signature is iPadOS. Typically iOS is more "collaborative" and dependent on iCloud so I assume it works there, too.

Have you tried a frame? Doesn't that allow display of a web page (i.e., the link) within a web page?
