Move files from an iPhone to a Mac

Can somebody explain me why with an android and a Microsoft if you want to transfer your files to your personal computer you solve in three seconds while with an iPhone and a Mac I have to pass through some apps that actually doesn't show me all my storage?

Security mainly.


The iPhone file system is not directly exposed to a computer PC or Mac to prevent access to sensitive areas of the device.


File transfer is normally performed over iCloud or AirDrop.


You can connect an external drive or USB drive to the iPhone now to move files back and forth easier too.
