Face ID not working after 17.4.1

Exact same problem, except everything I’ve tried listed on this form and elsewhere. It doesn’t work. It was working fine when I went to bed, installed update overnight and now it tells me Face ID is unavailable. Try again later. I have restored factory defaults. I’ve reset the phone from the settings. I tried resetting Face ID it again, just tells me unavailable try again later.

Same exact issue here as well. I tried resetting Face ID and no error message or anything, it just doesn’t do the new setup process

Cannot. I did reset the Face and tried to do a new one. But it’s showing only “move the phone lower and higher”. My face is clear under light and still can’t scan my face.

I got the issue fixed,

Please go to settings> screen time> content and privacy restrictions. Scroll down to Allow Change then you will see “Passcode Changes” toggle on “Don’t Allow” you have to turn it on to “Allow” the. Head back to the setting page. Your Face ID & Passcode function will appear back on.

I had the same issue, re set up FaceID and seems to be working fine again now…

I’m not. It just says it’s unavailable try again later whenever I go to set it up.

Are you getting a message about a problem with the true depth camera? If so the it needs a repair.

Did you reset Face ID and set it up again?

I’m having the same problem after installing the update. I reset my Face ID and two days later it’s not working again.

my Face ID initially worked with my phone case. When it stopped working all together I tried it without. Still did not work. Days later. I took the case off again, and it worked. Idk
