Authentication is Disabled Message for enter password after OS update to Sonoma 14.4.1 (23E224)

After updating to my MacBook Pro to Sonoma 14.4.1 (23E224) Touch ID to unlock no longer works. When I went into System Settings to see what's happening I cannot login to make any changes. I also get an error that "Some iCloud Data Isn't Syncing". If I try to access Touch ID & Password or Resume Data Sync it keeps displaying "Authentication is Disabled". I wondered if it was my Apple ID password so I changed it on my iPhone and logged in again on my MacBook Pro. No difference. My Keychain seems messed up too. I've had to input passwords on a lot of things that used to be automatically done with my keychain. How can I correct this? Thanks.
