Disable one airtag notification indefinitely

Every time I drive my wife’s car, I get a notification that an AirTag is tracking me. I have tried over and over again to disable this one AirTag’s notifications, but the only option I can find is to disable it for only one day!

I saw another post here with the exact same problem, with 86 people saying “me too”. And since only a very tiny percentage of users actually take the time to post these types of aggravations here, when this is extrapolated to the world population of iPhone users, it’s probably thousands and thousands of people who are irritated on a near-daily basis. Heck, it might even be millions of people! It just seems crazy to me that Apple doesn’t deal with this!

Does anyone know a solution OTHER THAN disabling all AirTag notifications?

Or at least an explanation of why the current setup is needed?

Thank you!

Have your wife share the AirTag with you.

click here ➜ Share an AirTag or other item in Find My on Mac - Apple Support

People you share items with don’t receive tracking notifications when the items are moving with them.
