Right after installing a software update last year, my iPad will not print. It asks to select printer, which it selects, but the printer name immediately disappears. I currently have version 17.3.1. Same story. Reset printer settings per a community response. Same story. Please help. Printer is my only one and is on the same network. Als, why won't apple fix this? It seems like a common problem.
Perhaps your printer is using an older (now deprecated) version of AirPrint. If so, check with the printer's manufacturer for availability of a printer firmware update.
Be aware that iPadOS 17.4.1 is current. You should update to this version - as the update includes both functional fixes and essential security updates.
Apple doesn’t fix anything that we ask for. I had this happen to me too. I had to restart my iPad and turn my WiFi on and off a bunch of times to get it to finally stay.

I have the same problem on 17.4.1 on two different iPads.
I updated. No difference. Any other suggestions? I turned the iPad and printer off and on, no difference.
