Siri Shortcut Automation Marks iMessage to Myself as Read

Hi,

When I send an iMessage to myself using an automation in Siri Shortcuts, the message is automatically marked as read and I don’t receive a notification like when I receive any other text or iMessage. Is there anyway to make it so that the message is left unread and I receive a notification?

Siri doesn't read content of new Whatsapp messages I had been using WhatsApp with Siri for a long time without any problems, that worked perfectly. Now I have a new cell phone (iPhone 15) and updates from iOS and WhatsApp (including privacy messages, etc.). When I ask Siri to read new messages, it detects them (“There are x new messages in Y groups”), but the content is not read aloud. Instead, I immediately get “Would you like to reply?” When my phone is upside down on a table, I do get the content read aloud immediately when a message arrives (but not on request): “Someone says: [message content].” Note: everything still works normal for text messages via SMS. Is this a privacy setting that I need to change if I just want to ask for messages to be read aloud again? Any suggestions? Thank in advance!

Text message notifications and Siri loop in CarPlay with 2025 Nissan Murano Purchased a 2025 Nissan Murano. When using CarPlay I do not get notifications of incoming text messages. If I go to the text app, the message is read but Siri gets stuck in a loop of repeating “Do you want to reply” and I can reply without canceling and restarting a message. Siri not “adding text” to message before sending When sending a message with Siri, I used be able to say “add to it” and Siri would continue with original message and add more. Then send whole message. Now only sends the “added portion”. Any fix?
