When playing video in Apple photos. Playing video show growing "Blue lines" in the timeline, these lines growing when they are in play time, than they are smaller again.
What do they mean? 🧐

I got this when I searched for something in Photos, for instance, I searched for the name of a person (who appears in the video) and since they have already been identified in my 'People' within photos, anytime their name or face appeared in the video it showed a blue line.
It looks like some sort of scanning error where, maybe, the bottom of the image is messed up, and it's being replaced by a neutral blue. Have you tried re-starting your phone, like this?

Do you use iCloud to sync your Photos Libraries? You could look at the iCloud version to see if the same thing happens.

I have never seen such lines when playing a video on my iPhone. Which system version is installed on your Mac? What is the source and the format of the videos? Have they been taken with your iPhone? Has the video adjustments applied?
Me neither, this is from iPhone, but i can see it on my iPad as well. The versions are 17.4.1. I know it is some feature, but I can't recognize what it is, theese videos are not edited or cropped, it has been recorder via my iPhone, it is not connected to talking in the video, or zooming, it has to be something else.
I don't think it's a scanning error as some past replies have said. I have had the same thing pop up for me but I'm on Mac. It looks like it is embedded in the timeline so I think it is a feature of some sort. It looks like it is highlighting certain parts of the video. The video was a slo-mo video. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the blue lines but I just wanted to provide some details in case it does. The blue lines don't seem to relate to the video speeding up or slowing down at those parts so I don't think it has to do with it.
