Make an Appointment at the Apple Genius Bar or call 1 800 MyApple and have them evaluate the computer

Something similar happened to my computer. It turns out my cat had bitten the corner. The marks were almost imperceptible. I went to an Apple store, and they said I needed to replace the screen. However, this was not in my price range at this point, but I discovered that if I hooked my computer up to a monitor, the lines didn’t show on the monitor.

If you try this and the lines don’t show up on the monitor, there is something wrong with the computer’s screen. If you try this and the lines do show up, then something else is wrong.
