need to check on warranty for my daughters ipad

I bought the iPad about three months ago, and as I was doing laundry, I just threw it in the clothes from the laundry basket in the washer, not realizing her iPad was in there. When the washer stopped, I saw that the iPad was in there. The screen is shattered. What can I do.

Your device warranty does not cover accidental damage. Warranties cover manufacturing defects - or technical faults.

If you have benefit of an active AppleCare+ plan, this will cover accidental damage. Being an insurance product, you will have small excess/deductible charge to pay.

If you don't have an AppleCare+ plan, perhaps look to your home insurance. Otherwise, if water is involved, the iPad is scrap.

Here's a possible solution,

  1. Go to the official apple support website Official Apple Support
  2. Scroll down and find My Support.
  3. Click on the Sign in to My Support
  4. Sign in with the apple id which was used in your daughter's iPad
  5. Now, you can see all the devices that are signed in with the account.
  6. Click on the device in which you want to see warrant info.
  7. You can check details like purchased date, serial number, warranty, apple care and technical support, etc
